From the historic streets of Edinburgh to the magic of the Isle of Skye, this trip is designed to uncover the country's most authentic essence, traveling along scenic roads, through charming traditional villages, and past some of Europe's most breathtaking natural scenery.
Along the route, you'll traverse wild valleys, mist-shrouded mountains, endless coastlines, and corners steeped in history and legend. Medieval castles, whisky distilleries, dark lakes, and the Highlands make each day a completely different experience.
With small groups and a Spanish-speaking guide, this itinerary will allow you to discover Scotland in a much closer, more flexible and authentic way.
Day 1 - Edinburgh - Old Town - Calton Hill
Arrival in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital and one of the most fascinating cities in the United Kingdom, where history, culture, and medieval architecture blend together to create a unique atmosphere. Its cobbled streets, historic buildings, and alleyways steeped in history make every corner a different experience.
You can start by discovering the famous Royal Mile, Edinburgh Avenue, the city's most iconic avenue, connects Edinburgh Castle with the Palace of Holyroodhouse. A stroll along this historic street allows you to experience the authentic essence of the Scottish capital while discovering traditional shops, historic pubs, and centuries-old buildings.
The day continues until Calton Hill, One of Edinburgh's most famous viewpoints, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city, the castle, and the North Sea. This spot has become one of the Scottish capital's most iconic landmarks.
You'll also have time to stroll through well-known places such as Victoria Street, considered one of the most beautiful streets in Scotland thanks to its colorful facades, traditional atmosphere and small local shops.
We will spend the night in Edinburgh, Enjoying the historical and cultural atmosphere of a city that perfectly combines tradition and modernity.
Day 2 - The Trossachs – Doune Castle – Glencoe – Glenfinnan – Arisaig
Depart from Edinburgh for a spectacular journey through the Scottish Highlands, traversing some of the country's most breathtaking and cinematic landscapes. As we leave the capital behind, cityscapes give way to mist-shrouded mountains, endless lochs, and charming villages steeped in history and tradition.
Our first stop will be the region of The Trossachs, It is considered one of the most beautiful natural areas in Scotland. Its roads, surrounded by forests, lochs, and mountains, allow you to discover the most peaceful and authentic side of the country.
We will continue the route to the exterior of the Doune Castle, A medieval fortress famous for appearing in series and films like Outlander. Its stone walls and natural surroundings perfectly represent the historical and cinematic essence of Scotland.
Later we will delve into the impressive Glencoe Valley, one of the most spectacular landscapes in Scotland and the setting for some of the most important episodes in Scottish history.
The journey continues towards the famous Glenfinnan Monument and its spectacular viaduct, known worldwide for appearing in the Harry Potter films.
Before the end of the day we will arrive at Arisaig, a small coastal town famous for its wild beaches and stunning views towards the Hebrides islands.
We will spend the night in Arisaig, Enjoying the tranquility of the Highlands and the authentic atmosphere of the Scottish west coast.
Day 3 – Ferry to the Isle of Skye – Elgol – Loch Coruisk – Fairy Pools
The day begins by taking the ferry to the legendary Isle of Skye, One of the most magical and spectacular places in Scotland. During the journey, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Scottish coast, the Highlands mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean, as we approach an island where nature and legend constantly intertwine.
Once on Skye, we will continue until The goal, A small fishing village situated opposite the impressive Cuillin mountains. Its landscapes, combining sea, mountains and wild nature, are considered among the most beautiful in the United Kingdom.
From here we will take a boat trip towards Loch Coruisk, A spectacular lake surrounded by volcanic mountains and virtually untouched landscapes. The isolation and tranquility of this place create a unique atmosphere that makes this experience one of the most special moments of the trip.
The route continues visiting the famous Fairy Pools, Known for their crystal-clear waters, small waterfalls, and fairytale landscapes, these natural pools, surrounded by the Cuillin Mountains, have become one of the most photographed and spectacular spots in Scotland.
We will spend the night in the Isle of Skye, surrounded by some of Scotland's most stunning and wild natural landscapes.
Day 4 – Plockton – Eilean Donan Castle – Loch Ness – Urquhart Castle – Inverness
Today we will leave the Isle of Skye behind to continue exploring some of the most iconic and legendary places in the Scottish Highlands.
Our first stop will be Plockton, a charming fishing village situated next to a small bay and considered one of Scotland's hidden gems thanks to its peaceful atmosphere and stunning coastal scenery.
We will continue towards the spectacular Eilean Donan Castle, It is probably the most photographed castle in Scotland. Strategically located between three fjords and surrounded by mountains, this medieval fortress has become one of the country's great symbols and the setting for numerous films.
Later we'll get to the famous Loch Ness, known worldwide for the legends related to Nessie. Its dark waters, surrounded by mountains and forests, create a mysterious and spectacular atmosphere.
Next to the lake we will also discover the ruins of the historic Urquhart Castle, located on the shores of the Ness and considered one of the best spots to contemplate the landscape and the immensity of the lake.
Finally we will arrive at Inverness, considered the cultural capital of the Highlands, where Scottish tradition and local atmosphere blend perfectly.
We will spend the night in Inverness, enjoying the welcoming atmosphere of one of the most important cities in northern Scotland.
Day 5 – Culloden – Whiskey Distillery – Cairngorms – Loch an Eilein – Pitlochry
The day begins with a visit to the historic Culloden Battlefield, The site where the Jacobite dream ended in 1746 and one of the most important locations in Scottish history. Walking through this place allows for a deeper understanding of the country's past and the history of the Highland clans.
Later we will visit a traditional Scotch whisky distillery, where we can discover the process of making one of the most famous drinks in the world and one of the great symbols of Scotland.
We will continue the route towards the spectacular Cairngorms National Park, a vast natural region made up of mountains, forests and lakes that represents the wildest and most authentic side of the Highlands.
Inside the park we will discover Loch an Eilein, considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Scotland thanks to its calm waters, its forests and the ruins of the small castle located in the middle of the lake.
The day ends in Pitlochry, a charming Victorian village surrounded by nature and famous for its welcoming and traditional atmosphere.
We will spend the night in Pitlochry, enjoying the tranquility and typical atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands.
Day 6 – Dunkeld – Glamis Castle – HMS Discovery – St Andrews – Edinburgh
Last day of our tour of Scotland, discovering some of the country's most historic and iconic places before returning to Edinburgh.
During the day we will visit the impressive Glamis Castle, Considered one of the most beautiful and mysterious castles in Scotland, this former residence, linked to the British royal family, is also famous for the numerous legends and ghost stories that surround it.
Later we will be able to admire the historic HMS Discovery In Dundee, the ship used by Captain Scott during his expedition to the South Pole has become one of the city's historical symbols.
We will continue towards St Andrews, Known worldwide as the birthplace of golf, the city is also renowned for its historic university, medieval streets, and stunning beaches open to the North Sea.
At the end of the afternoon we will return to Edinburgh, bringing to an end an unforgettable route through legendary castles, wild Highlands, mysterious lakes and some of the most spectacular landscapes in Scotland.
